Abdullah Ibrahim, 39

Teaching Assistant at HLC Secondary School

"I previously worked in a charity shop, but started my level three qualification after realising how much I enjoyed working with young people. In June, I started my work placement as a teaching assistant at HLC Secondary - then in December I was offered a permanent job that I fit around my college studies. I love working with people and being able to help students' skills flourish."

Rebecca Jones, 22

Learning Support Practitioner at The Willow Tree

"I knew I wanted a career change from hairdressing, and after visiting Telford College and seeing how much it had to offer, it was a no brainer! I'm now a learning support practitioner at The Willow Tree, working with children with special educational needs. I've even been offered a university place and hope to gain my Ba Hons in Education Studies to become a primary or SEN teacher."
