Hands-On Learning

At Brooklyn Law, legal theory is applied to reality, and law is put into action. We have more than 20 clinics and externships and numerous pro bono opportunities. This focus on real-world experience is one reason Brooklyn Law consistently earns accolades for Business Law, IP Law, and more.

Guaranteed Housing

We offer LL.M. students guaranteed housing, eliminating the hassle of searching for a place to live. Our beautifully furnished apartments are conveniently located a short walk from the campus and are priced below the market rate. (Housing application deadline is May 1st.)

An Unparalleded Location

Located between historic Brooklyn Heights and the vibrant commercial hub of Downtown Brooklyn, the Law School is surrounded by courts and located within walking distance of civic offices, law firms, community organizations, tech startups, and more. Manhattan is just minutes away by subway or car.

The Brooklyn Experience

In Their Own Words: Brooklyn Law School LL.M. alumni describe what makes it a great place to build your network and your career.

Giselle Ayala (1)

A Strong Foundation

In 2020, against all odds, Gisele Ayala Mateus, LL.M. ‘18 launched her law practice, G.A.M. Law Office P.C. Through the ups and downs of starting a new business in a tough economy, she credits Brooklyn Law School with giving her the skills and resources she needed to be successful. Last year, she received a Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Achievement as an Entrepreneur from the New York State Assembly.

"Brooklyn Law School gave me a good foundation as an attorney and entrepreneur. I had learned about the law from my school in Colombia, but my experience at Brooklyn Law School taught me so much more. I learned everything I needed to know about doing research, which made me more independent and helped me in my studies, the development of my career, and my performance as a solutions provider to my clients."
